Delta Lau Milayo Ndou is a PhD candidate at the University of Cape Town who recently completed her research on how social media sourcing has influenced political reporting in Zimbabwe’s mainstream media. She is currently involved in an OSISA-funded research project interrogating how mainstream media mediated the 2017 Zimbabwe coup or ‘military assisted transition’ and with a particular focus being on social media.
The Highway Africa Conference is a project of Rhodes University (Grahamstown, South Africa). The 22-year old event is supported by a variety of partners including Government, corporate South Africa and development agencies. The key focus is the impact of digital technologies (internet and mobile) on journalism and the media and, by extension, society.
